SENSE OF PLACE | RUNDLE MALL
Seamlessly integrating fashion with the landmarks that form the beating heart of our city, our Sense of Place campaign is a celebration of who we are, where we have been, and the connection between place and art.
Take a stroll down Rundle Mall and you’ll find a rich history blended with contemporary sensibilities. Transcending a simple shopping strip, the Mall is not just South Australia’s most iconic shopping destination, but also home to art, music, food and architectural landmarks.
Take in the Gothic-inspired Beehive Corner, designed by Adelaide architect George Soward, wander down No Fixed Address Lane, named for the trailblazing 1970s Aboriginal reggae rock band, and find your way to the 4m tall ‘Malls Balls’ (officially known at ‘The Spheres’) by Bert Flugelman, the unofficial gathering place for city dwellers and visitors alike.
Tapping into Rundle Mall’s innate sense of excitement and energy for our Sense of Place campaign, you’ll find new season pieces from local and national designers set against the cultural landmarks dotted down the strip.
The botanical influences of Aje’s Planetary Maxi Dress find their kin in the ‘Flow’ and ‘Ripples’ of Gawler Place, while classic silhouettes from Viktoria & Woods contrast Paul Sloan’s starkly geometric ‘Pigeon’ sculpture.
During ADL Fashion Week, Rundle Mall will push fashion boundaries with The Loft at Hotel Richmond, where guests can experience exclusive brand pop-ups, including a rare archival sale from Adelaide’s Paolo Sebastian, as well as ticketed events, dining and more.
